Summer Fun (+ Giveaway!): Champions Science Adventures Summer Camps

Do you have a budding Einstein in your home?  Or maybe the opposite – a child who may need a little “spark” to ignite their interest in the world of science?  Then read on, plus comment below for a chance to win a FREE camp session!

Champions Science Adventures Summer Day Camps focus on fun, by taking science out of the classroom and into hands-on learning and discovery.  They have 10 locations where they will be offering camps around Dallas-Fort Worth this summer, ranging from Fort Worth to Plano to McKinney, and many cities in between.  By holding their camps in existing school locations (private schools, colleges, and churches), they are able to keep their costs low and focus on bringing your kids into the world of science through exploration and discovery.

Champions Science Adventures Camps are designed to inspire curiosity about how the world works while instilling a love of learning about science through interactive, hands-on experiments and activities.  The four camps offered this year are: Mystery of the Pharaoh’s Treasure, Go Wild, Gizmo’s Robot Factory and Space and Rocketry.  When I read about these camps on the Champions Science Adventures website (http://www.scienceadventures.com), it made ME want to attend.  Who wouldn’t want to learn how to decode hieroglyphics (using a decoder wheel – no memorization required!) and then make up their own name using the symbols??  Or build their very own Hydro Rocket, and then get to launch it??  You can guess which sessions will offer your child these experiences, and you can see all the descriptions on their summer camp program information page.  You can even watch a video that includes clips from real summer camp sessions, such as “Go Wild”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KevtevcAvK8.

The Champions Science Adventure summer camps average around $200/week of half-day camp or $300/week of full-day camp.  You can save $50 on a session with the following code: summerscience10.

Or, you could WIN a free half-day week session, just by adding a comment below. Winner will be chosen randomly from all comments posted by end of day May 31 and notified on June 1 (please make sure to include your email address in your comment so we can notify you!).  Good luck!

This was a sponsored post; the summer camp session is being provided by Champions Science Adventures Camps as a giveaway to DFWMama.com readers.

What a great giveaway. I hadn't heard of this camp before. I have two weeks in August to fill still. My daughter's kindergarten class has been doing science projects all year and she adores it. This sounds like something she'd really enjoy.

My 6 year old would love this. Our choices this summer were extremely limited due to the fact that my hubby lost his job. We were planning on a science kit called”stinky science” to keep him busy during his vacay. He is so excited to make a mess, learn something and probably stink up the house. Lol! We'll have some fun.

My son is so interested in going to a science camp. I told him about the camp choices and he said “I want to take all of them, Mom!” I would love to win a free half day week session for him. There will be a camp at the church where my son's old preschool used to be located.
