By now, most of us have heard the OnStar radio ads with chilling snippits of real life conversations between the OnStar
operators and drivers who are in distress. These recordings do a good job of illustrating what I have come to believe – passengers would be better protected if every vehicle came equipped with OnStar. But the feature I wasn’t aware of was the simple navigation service. We have a GPS but plugging it into the console and dealing with the cord while typing in the info makes using this system while you’re actually moving too precarious. OnStar solves that problem. With one touch of a button on your rear view mirror (yes, your rear view mirror), you get to speak to an actual human who does the heavy lifting for you. Want to see what I’m talking about? Watch my latest video and see how easy OnStar actually is.
The Girlfriend Getaway campaign is being sponsored by North Texas Chevy Dealers who gave a few chosen bloggers (like me!) a 2010 Chevy Malibu to test drive for one month and then asked us to blog about our experiences. Girlfriend Getaway has given us some fun missions to accomplish with gift cards to help us as we go. Stay tuned!
