Thanksgiving Crafting

I have been thoroughly enjoying my Creative Christmas posts (Ornaments, Stocking Stuffers, and Gifting so far), but I feel I must take a break from talking about Christmas this week in order to focus on a very important holiday soon approaching, Thanksgiving.  I love Thanksgiving.  You get great food and family time without the added stress of finding the perfect gift to give.  As a mother of young children, I also see it as the perfect opportunity to invoke a spirit of thankfulness in my kids.

This Creative Home category wouldn’t be complete without a little Thanksgiving crafting to add to it.  The fun crafts I’m eyeing for the kids and I to do this year are…

Thanksgiving Crafts

Finger Stamp Place Cards – We made these as a family last year, only, instead of using them as place cards, we wrote all the things we are thankful for inside the card.

Thanksgiving Turkey Luminarias – Your guests will have no problem finding your home with these to light the path!  I also love the Pumpkin Tea Light Candles from Little Miss Craft.

Turkey Breadbasket – While the kids may not be too thrilled about helping with the cooking, they might be ecstatic to create a table centerpiece to hold the bread!

Turkey Place Cards – Have a lot of guests coming?  Personalize it with these place cards!

Glowbirds – These will surely create a festive mood around the table.

Indian Corn Napkin Rings – I LOVE to use cloth napkins for special meals.  These will surely give your place settings some extra pizazz.  If you don’t have buttons, also check out these napkin rings.

Gorgeous Gourds – These little gourds are so cute!

Thankful Tree – Another great way to get everyone in the thankful spirit.

Leaf Imprinted Coasters – Make these for everyone’s drink at the table!

Waxed Leaves – Gather up your fall leaves to make this easy craft!
