Local DFW Valentine Activities

I love that LOVE is in the air!  It’s a time to show our loved ones just how much we love them and a reminder to continue in that spirit throughout the year!  In the spirit of love, check out these local hot spots and what they’re offering to help us celebrate!

The Dallas Zoo ~ $5 admission every day through February!  A great way to show some love to your kids.

Dallas Museum of Art ~ Saturday, February 12th is Family Celebration day and it’s FREE!  It’s a similar roundup to First Tuesdays but it’s on Saturday and Radio Disney will be there offering prizes!  Also, check out Late Nights on February 18th where you and your loved one can enjoy a romantic evening of live music and more for $10!

Eisemann Center For Performing Arts (Richardson) ~ Check out the Richardson Symphony Orchestra’s Music for Romance on February 12th.

The Plano Symphony (Plano) ~ Attend their 2011 Valentine Gala, La Dolce Vita on Saturday, February 12th.  $125 per person.

McKinney Ave. Transit Authority (Dallas) ~ Climb aboard A Streetcar Named Desire and sip champagne as you ride the trolley to different restaurants along the way, stopping for 3 courses along the way!  $83 per person at 6:30 sharp on February 10th.

Lakewood Theater (Dallas)~ Nothing says romantic like a double feature of music from Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Nat King Cole followed by Casablanca.  Purchase tickets here ($20 – $30 range) for this February 14th event.

Wine & Cheese Pairing Class at The Mozzarella Company (Dallas) ~ When I think of romance, I think of sipping wine.  Have a unique date while learning about pairing different wines and cheeses together!  $50 each, reservation required, on February 14th.

Fall In Love With Wine, Cheese, & Chocolate Class at Molto Formaggio The Cheese Shop (Dallas) ~ Choice of two sessions on February 13th or 14th (see sidebar on link).  $75 per person includes 3 food and wine pairings and each couple receives a gift bag with a bottle of wine, cheese, and one other product to take home, reservation required.

Central Market Cooking School ~ Take a cooking class with your loved one!  Check out their Valentine’s classes in Dallas, Ft. Worth, and Plano.

Daddy Daughter Dance (Frisco) ~ Isn’t that sweet!  $15 per person for the 15th Annual Hollywood Glitz and Glam daddy daughter dance on February 12th.
