Free Museum & Arboretum Tickets

Spring is in the air and for me that means getting out with the kids again and going to museums, zoos and gardens in the area.  Tickets can get expensive though so here are a few ways to help you save, and most places will actually let you bring your lunch!

Dallas Blooms is in full swing right now at the Dallas Arboretum and if you stop by any Capital One Bank you can get a “Buy One Get One Free Tuesdays” coupon!  Valid now – April 10.  With the Fairy Tale Castles Exhibit up and Tiny Tot Tuesdays going on (face painting, arts and crafts, petting zoo), you definitely don’t want to miss this!

Dallas Museum of Nature & Science currently has the very cool Dinosaurs Unearthed and Math Midway exhibits until May 10 and with Bank of America’s Museums on Us program you can get in absolutely FREE the first full weekend of every month.  The museum does charge a small fee for the Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit, but with your museum ticket free there’s no reason to see this jaw dropping exhibit.  And of course there’s the famous Children’s Museum and Dino Dig, also included.  These weekends do tend to bring in the crowds so I recommend going in the morning when the museum first opens.

The Forth Worth Museum of Nature & Science has gone some major renovations the last year and is looking better than ever.  If it’s been a while since you’ve visited this museum, give it another shot.  It’s also included in Bank of America’s Museums on Us program and is absolutely FREE the first full weekend of every month.  They have a stellar Children’s Museum, Dino Dig & Lab, The Cattle Raisers Museum, and the very cool Energy Blast exhibit currently.  Again, the first weekend can be busy so I recommend getting their early to skip the lines.
