Legoland at Grapevine Mills Mall is Open!
We have been waiting for this day for what seems like ages! Legoland is officially open at Grapevine Mills Mall!
Excitement cannot be contained in this household, for we all are true Lego Lovers at heart.
We all know where Grapevine Mills Mall is and yes the mall is huge! (Try walking the entire mall when you’re 8.5 months pregnant!) Where exactly is Legoland? It is located at Entry 5, across from the AMC Theater. This 35,000 square foot Lego wonderland features more than 2 million Lego bricks, complete with an interactive laser ride, a multi-story playground, tons of Legos for the kids to play with at Lego building stations and many incredible Lego replica’s that will have your little ones oohing and aahing with amazement.
There is a fee to enter, but if you buy your tickets online then you can receive a discount. Also, going after 4:00 pm you will pay a reduced ticket price. Allow for at least two hours to take it all in. If the store closes at 8:00 pm, the last ticket will be sold at 6:00 pm.
Thinking about going back all year long? Yes, season tickets are available. Birthday Parties are also offered. Your child would be thrilled to be the first in their class with a “real” Lego birthday party.
All of my children woke up today with smiles on their faces! And I have to admit, I did too! Lego Discovery Center has a person capacity of 600, we better hurry and get in line!

Carlee, Thank you for your comment! “Thanks for shnraig. Always good to find a real expert.” How sweet of you to call me an “expert”! The only thing I may qualify as an “expert” is loving my kids! They are number one in my life!! That’s why I love writing this column. I get to “investigate” all of the great places in DFW for family outings and then write about it.
Thanks for reading!
I loved reading this post, Janet. We were just there last night and it definitely exceeded my expectations!
Thank you CoolPlaygroundMommy! (lovin your screen name!)
It is amazing what the design masters can create with Legos. My 7 year old would be thrilled to grow up to earn a living putting together Legos! Thanks for reading!
John, yes Legoland is located where the old skateboard park was. My 7 year old was very sad to see that go, but so very excited about Legoland! Across from Legoland an aquarium is being built in the old Gameworks space! Once again, sad but excited at the same time! This is expected to open this summer, I’ve been told by the staff at Grapevine Mills Mall.
Please check back later for an article on the upcoming aquarium. Thanks for reading!
Thanks for shnraig. Always good to find a real expert.
Amy, my kids have loved Legos for years! It is one toy that will last for years. And if it falls apart, then there’s more fun to be had! Where are you? Is there one near you?
Is Legoland located where the skatepark was?
