Easter Fun for this weekend!

If you are like my family, your weekend is busy, busy, busy! Between dance class in the morning and a soccer game at a different time every Saturday, it is hard to get to many of the seasonal activities. This weekend, we are tag-teaming to make Dance, the Rowlett Easter Egg Hunt and then my seven year old’s soccer game, so I was happy to find some Easter events that take place in the afternoon and evening.

Bass Pro Shops are doing free Easter events April 16th – 24th. There will be fun crafts like decorating a foam Easter egg and magnet, and a free photo opportunity as kids visit the Easter Bunny.

“Easter in the Park: Creek Craze” at Turtle Creek, Robert E. Lee Park, Dallas. Sunday April 17th, 2:00pm. A full afternoon of free events, activities, entertainment and the popular pet costume contest. There will be an Easter Egg Roll, entertainment by Eddie Coker, photos with a live bunny, face painting and more for children. Free to attend.

Not at all Easter related, but a great place for spring pictures is the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival. There will be Arts and Crafts, food, live music, bluebonnet souvenirs, children’s area, free trail maps, and more! The website has updated information (daily, almost!) on the best trails to see the bluebonnets. It even gives directions.
