Hello, fellow Mamas! I am a high school teacher as well as the mom of a 8-year-old and twin 4-year-olds. I am also active in the North Dallas Mothers of Twins Club and taking graduate hours through an online university. With three very active kids, we try to keep them pretty busy and get out of the house whenever possible. My husband and I are both transplants from Louisiana (Geaux Tigers!) and we are having a lot of fun discovering new places and exploring the DFW area through the eyes of our children. I'm excited to share our experiences with everyone!

Christmas Day Trips from Dallas

Santa Trimming a Christmas Tree

Check out these trips before Santa's visit!

If you find a spare weekend during this busy holiday season, or you need a great photo spot, check out these Christmas Day Trips from Dallas:

Yesterland Farm–Canton. Only about an hour outside of Dallas, this farm has Christmas trees to cut or already cut for sale as well as a complimentary hayride, the farm zoo, a giant tipi, horse shoes a western ghost town. You can bring a picnic or enjoy fun farm fare concessions. Admission is free as part of their Texas Christmas. They also have a small amusement park with a roller coaster, a giant slide and pony rides for additional cost. They also have photos with Santa on the weekends!

Smile for Santa!

Time to look for photo opportunities!

Drive Thru Christmas–Lindale, just north of Tyler. 2 & 1/2 million lights on 24 acres that you can drive through.  $20 per car. There is also a gift shop and concession stand. Check out their website for a list and pictures of the great variety of light displays!

Holiday Express Riding Train–Richardson. Free train ride for kids around a yard decorated with holiday lights. Sweet story about a man who does this for children free of charge, although he has had to start accepting donations to make it possible. 136 Hidden Circle, Richardson, TX 75081.
