Ausa Salem Faria has been blogging and having a blast for Todays Mama since 2011. It combines her love of writing and parenting adventures. When she's not busy brainstorming for ideas, Ausa stays busy with her day job at a leading semi-conductor corporation, reading, and her new found love of running (ran her first 5k in January). She and her family have lived in the Dallas area for 14 years. However, she was born and raised in California's central valley. “Lose It” Weight Loss App

Lose It!

 So, it’s the start of a new and fabulous year (yeah!) and like millions of others, I’ve once again made it my resolution to lose weight. So far, I’m down 2.5 lbs. Not much, but I’m taking baby steps here.

I’m not only back to exercising, but I’m tracking my food intake. A free iPhone app called Lose It! has really helped me become more accountable. It helps me log my food intake (and lets me know how may calories I can eat for the rest of the day) and my exercise (which has allowed me to eat more). I LOVE it so much that I had to share it with other mamas.

  1. OMG, Amy. I’ve known about this app for a few weeks, but was too afraid to actually log my food intake. I was in full on denial mode. Try it!
