Hello Dallas Mamas! I'm so proud to be writing for Today's Mama and hope my blogs are helpful and fun. After reading a few of my blogs, you'll learn a little about me and my family. We love spending our time together and finding cool local events. Born and raised in California, I'm a little celebrity obsessed :-). However, I'm also an avid reader and enjoy art and music. I am a firm believer of seizing every moment, working hard, and becoming the best.

Fairest of All: A Tale of the Wicked Queen

Fairest Of Them All

It seems that Snow White’s story is all the rage lately (which explains my infatuation with ABC’s Once Upon a Time and two upcoming movies (Mirror Mirror and Snow White and the Huntsman). It  was only a matter of time that my focus would shift from Snow White’s story to the Queen (Snow White’s stepmother).  While the cover of “Fairest of All: A Tale of the Wicked Queen” is what initially drew me to this book during a recent Barnes and Noble visit, I would recommend this version to all Disney lovers*.

This book shed a new light on the Queen (I definitely empathized with her character). Readers got a glimpse of her sad childhood (a young girl desperately seeking the love and attention from her bitter father) and her courtship with Snow White’s dad (yes, they truly were in love).  I loved this book so much that I finished reading it in one day’s time.

There were several factors which contributed to the Queen’s demise – one being her love of her long deceased father  and the other was her undying love for Snow White’s dad. Written by Serena Valentino, this  is a novel from Disney Press. I love this author so much that I plan to tackle her other books.
