Did you ever watch old episodes of shows on Nick at Nite or Double Dare when families would work together to compete in sack races, relays and games and think “how fun is that?” Growing up I always thought that looked like so much fun and deep down I wanted so bad to be on a game show and get all muddy playing tug-of-war. Well, I may not be a kid anymore, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t have any fun with obstacle courses and even better now I have my own team to play!
Described as “some good, old-fashioned fun,” this family event features field day favorites such as sack races, tug-o-war, water balloon tosses, an obstacle course and more. Scheduled festivities also include live music, food trucks, craft stations, demonstrations from the Dallas Kite Club as well as a variety of family-focused vendors. In addition to all the free activities, attendees will also receive free admission during the event to the Sci-Tech Discovery Center, an experiential education center dedicated to promoting science and technology in the north Texas and Collin County area.
