Still looking for Easter Fun?

The simple joys of Easter

If you are like my family, your weekends are busy, busy, busy! With three soccer games  every Saturday, it is hard to get to many of the seasonal activities. If your family is still looking for Easter fun, here are some Easter events for the final weekend.

Bass Pro Shops are doing free Easter events April 7 & 8th. There will be fun crafts like decorating a foam Easter egg and suncatcher, and a free photo opportunity as kids visit the Easter Bunny. There is also an Easter Egg Hunt!

Texas Discovery Gardens is hosting their first annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 8th  from 1-3 pm. Free with admission, but make sure to check out their special price on family memberships–only $45!! We had a membership for a year and really enjoyed it!

Biggest Easter Egg Hunt in Frisco on Saturday!

Dallas Arboretum: Dallas Blooms ends April 8th with some great events still scheduled!

Easter in Lee Park at Robert E. Lee Park, Dallas. Sunday April 8th, 10:00 am to 6:00pm. A full day of free events, activities, entertainment and the popular pet costume contest.  Free to attend.

Not at all Easter related, but a great place for spring pictures is the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival. While the festival isn’t until April 21-22, the websites says that the flowers are blooming already. If you do go to the festival, there will be Arts and Crafts, food, live music, bluebonnet souvenirs, children’s area, free trail maps, and more! The website has updated information (daily, almost!) on the best trails to see the bluebonnets. It even gives directions.
