Friendly Reminder – Lewisville Summer Reading Program Ends August 4th
With the start of school in a few weeks, be sure to turn in the kids’ reading logs to redeem prizes. This summer, both my daughters and I joined Lewisville’s Summer Reading Program. In all three cases, we were encouraged to log in the number of books or hours read.
The family and I submitted our logs and received various prizes. Both girls were thrilled! Among the treasured items were: a free child’s ticket to the circus (redeemable with the purchase of one adult ticket), a VIP pass to Studio Movie Grill, a free book of their choice and printed certificates for both kids. I felt a little silly redeeming my prize since I’m an adult and love reading regardless of prizes. However, if I do win, I’d get a Nook.
The last day to redeem prizes is Saturday, August 4th. Again, it was a great way to encourage reading within the family and to make use of our awesome library.
