2012 Wylie Championship Rodeo
Yeeeeeehaw! Round up the kids and head out to Wylie – the 2012 Wylie Championship Rodeo is coming to town!
On Friday, September 21st and Saturday, September 22nd, you can watch the best local cowboys and cowgirls as they compete in the annual rodeo.
Gates open at 6 PM on both nights, with entertainment getting started at 6:30 and the rodeo getting underway at 8:00.
I’m way too paranoid for this kind of thing, but if you want to sign your kids up for Mutton Bustin’ (that’s when they put a big helmet on the kids and send them off on a bucking sheep to see if they can stay on!) there’s still time. Mutton Bustin’ will be Friday night – call Inwood National Bank of Wylie to register your child.
For directions and information about parking, visit the Wylie Chamber of Commerce website.
There’s lots to do in Wylie! Check out the awesome reading programs and story times for kids at the Wylie Rita & Truett Smith Public Library, or if it’s something a little more adventurous you are seeking, visit In-Sync Exotics and get up close and personal with lions and tigers.
