I finally have a kid who’s old enough to grasp the concept of Halloween.
Jack finally realizes that there is a holiday that allows him to A) wear his favorite costume, and B) get loads of candy. I mean, he *mostly* got it last year…but this year the anticipation is almost more than he can take! We have been talking about Halloween for weeks.
This year, we’ll actually be traveling on Halloween. A dear friend is getting married the following weekend! Although I have every intention of arriving in California in time to take the kids trick-or-treating with their cousins (I am from California and many of my friends and family are there), I have a few local trick-or-trick events lined up, as well (to get them extra excited, or hopped up on sugar, I guess).
Boo on Ballard is the event I’ve been waiting for since last year!
This free event will take place in downtown Wylie on Thursday, October 25th from 6-8 PM. Local merchants will pass out candy to kids as they walk through Wylie’s quaint downtown. But, it’s more than just candy! Kids will also get to hear live music, ooh and aah over the Halloween decorations, and play carnival games. Kids and their parents alike will enjoy the vendor booths and the festive community spirit!
Boo on Ballard is a fun, safe and family-friendly way to get in the Halloween spirit.
Dress your little ones in their spookiest get-ups and head out to Wylie for a fun night of Boo on Ballard!
