If you’re familiar with the Pinkalicious book series and LOVE Sprinkles cupcakes, purchase your tickets to Dallas Children’s Theater’s Pinkalicious musical. Your last chance to view it is this upcoming weekend, October 28th.
My family was in for a real treat upon reading the reviews. We were so excited to watch the musical that we planned our trip accordingly. That meant dressing our youngest in a Pinkalicious costume that I purchased at T.J. Maxx and bringing wands and crowns (from the Dollar Tree). Our nine year old picked out my pink top and in turn, I created a pink one-of-a-kind t-shirt.
Always the good sport, my hubby obligingly came along for some good quality bonding time with his queen and two princesses.
We made sure to take tons of pictures of DCT’s Pinklacious themed lobby and looked forward to intermission. I know it sounds strange, but their concession stand offered patrons an opportunity to purchase Sprinkles cupcakes. The red velvet cupcakes were topped with icing and a tiny pink tiara. According to my kids, they were “delicious”.
The musical was fun, but our littlest made sure to tell me that the actress portraying Pinkalicious looked nothing like the character from the book. However, she was still propped on her heels (while seated for better viewing). She was enthralled and LOVED the show as much as we did.
I would recommend heading over to DCT and viewing a Pinkalicious show. Afterwards, hang out to get pictures and autographs with the cast (who all remained in character).
