Can We Please Have Some Winter?

Anyone else wondering what the heck Texas is doing having 80 degree weather in December? I could’ve stayed in Africa if I would have realized we would be experiencing Summer at Christmastime. Seriously. As I scroll my Facebook feed, I find people are divided. Some are in the camp saying, “Texas, get a clue. It’s December. You need to cool down.” Others are quite content to let the warm weather linger as long as possible. No matter what camp you’re in, you might be suffering from STS Syndrome.

Can We Please Have Some Winter?

TXU Energy is here to help cure us from Seasonal Thermostat Switching Syndrome (STS) that can affect us from the season change or constant flip flopping of temperatures.

Do you feel that your indoor temperature is either too warm or too cool in the span of the same day?

Do you feel torn between leaving the A/C versus the heat on when you leave the house?

When you’re at home, do you ever feel the urge to switch off the HVAC and leave the windows open to heat or cool your home?

Have you recently disagreed with someone else in your home over whether it was too warm or too cool, or do you feel frustrated or unsure about it yourself?

Have you recently changed from either cooling to heating and back or vice versa at home within the same day, or are others in your home urging you to do this?

If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, then you may be suffering from STS Syndrome. For more information, a free personal assessment, and tips for neutralizing it online, click here.

In the meantime, I’m going to be out looking for Winter, y’all.
