Say It With Sugar

Have you ever eaten a piece of cake and thought you could, quite possibly, eat the entire thing in one sitting because it is just that good?  I have!

A few years ago our baseball team had ordered a cake from a local bakery.  I don’t really love cake, but had to take a bite of it.  I could have fallen down it was so good.  So good, that if I didn’t think people were watching, I would have cut myself a bigger piece.  I think about that cake often… Like right now… my mouth is literally watering.

That cake came from a little bakery in the heart of Downtown Wylie.  The name?  Say It With Sugar.

I will occasionally take my kids in the bakery for a special treat.  Sometimes a cookie or a cupcake.  I never actually ordered a cake myself, that is, until this past week.

To celebrate my friend’s housewarming I ordered a unique cake.  I asked that they make it look like a Welcome mat.  No picture, just a thought in my head.  They did the rest.  They made a wonderful white chocolate cake, with white chocolate disks, and white chocolate filling, and dressed it up to look just like I had envisioned.  It was almost too pretty to cut into…. almost.  It was, again, heaven, and as my 3 year old would say, “Yummy in my tummy.”

Say It With Sugar is located at 106 North Ballard Avenue, Wylie, TX 75098.  They are open from 9 am-6 pm Tuesday-Friday, and Saturday 9 am-4 pm.  They specialize in cakes and sweets of all kinds.  How good are they?  They’ve only been on Food Network Challenge a few times to show off their mad cake making skills.  There is not a doubt in my mind that I will be using them again soon.
