Fortunately for me and my family, we had an awesome experience on our first cruise. Like the doomed Carnival ship, ours departed from Galveston. But other than suffering from some motion sickness, we have no complaints about our voyage!
In fact, our girls keep asking when we can go again!
We took advantage of Disney’s Magic cruise offer (kids sail free!) and purchased our trip last December. This was our Christmas present to the family! Yes, we counted the days with anticipation. In fact, we heard no complaints from the kids despite our 5am drive from our house to Galveston.
Our days were filled with events. And, the entertaining shows didn’t disappoint! The food wasn’t too spectacular other than it was “all you can eat.” However, we got out of our comfort zone and sampled escargot and lamb in one of the dining rooms that offered French food.
It was nice to dress up in the evenings. One night, we dressed up like pirates while my husband watched the Super Bowl in the theater. We did get in line for pictures with the characters. And it was well worth the wait.
If interested in taking advantage of this deal, hurry up! The Disney Magic cruise will be sailing away at the end of the year.
