Derby, Diamonds and Discounts: Lone Star Park 2013 Season Scores

There’s something about horse racing that I love. Perhaps it’s because of the energy of the race, the mint juleps they serve, the big hats you can wear, the fond memory of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, or the fact that Lone Star Park is a hop-skip-and-a-jump away from my house. Whatever the reason, it’s a great place to spend the day with or without the family, especially when diamonds are involved! And even if you don’t know a THING about betting or horse races, there’s something for everyone with the huge lineup of events that have for the 2013 season.

There’s something happening every weekend, but here’s a few of the ones I know will be on the top of my list including Kentucky Derby Day, Mother’s Day Diamond Dig, and Jockeys and Java. And to sweeten the deal, I’ve even included a few discounts to make it worth your wild (and easy on your pocket book!)
