The City of Arlington is working to promote environmental stewardship across North Texas and build a sense of community in a fun way at ECOFEST ARLINGTON on Sept. 21, 2013.
This free one-day festival features green products, practical DIY home solutions, and learning opportunities to discover what we can do to help reduce, repair and prevent these problems in the future. Of course there will be also tons of fun, family-focused entertainment at Founder’s Plaza and at Levitt Pavilion from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Make sure to bring the kids’ bike to ECOFEST for Bike Safety Town, a closed-loop streetscape designed to help children practice riding with others. General instruction will be given on proper signaling, yielding, and starting from a full stop. The Maverick’s Bike Shop will be offering free, minor repairs.
There will be fun, games and educational classes for the children to enjoy during this time and food and drinks will be available as well.
- Blackland Prairie Raptor Center
- Petting Zoo

And the parents will have a fantastic time too listening to the great tunes from Julie Hazzard, Larry Gee and The Killdares.
Also as a special gift, 1,500 trees will also be given away on a first-come, first-serve basis at Ecofest and you can even reserve your tree choice online now.
