Texas has its very own Munster Mansion and on October 18 & 19, they’re hosting a bash! Each year, the Munster Mansion hosts a quirky yet wonderful family friendly event benefitting The Salvation Army. It’s a reproduction of Herman and Lily’s home in the iconic tv show, The Munsters.
Like many fans, Charles and Sandra McKee, wanted to introduce The Munsters to children of this generation.
“It’s no longer us older people who grew up with it that love it anymore,” she said. “It’s all the young kids now understanding what the Munsters are that makes this so special.”
Each year, they try to have at least one star from the original show attend the event. This year, Pat Priest (the actress who played Marilyn Munster) will be a special guest. The event also includes a tour of the home, a costume party and carnival.
Ticket prices are $20 (adult) and $12 (age 12 and under) – cash only. Parking is free at 2401 Brown Street, Waxahachie. A free shuttle will be provided to take party goers to and from the event.
