Kool and The Gang, Cheap Trick, and Joan Jett are just a handful of the music line up at this year’s DFW Wildflower Festival, held in Galatyn Park in Richardson, TX, May 16-18. We have gone for many years for the music, fair style food, and now that we have kids, we love the kids entertainment. Visit the Kidz Korner for free activities from crafts, inflatables, and singing like a rockstar.
DFW Wildflower Festival Tickets are already available for purchase online.
If you plan to spend the day at the DFW Wildflower Festival with the kids (especially younger ones), bring them a change of clothes, swimwear, sunscreen, and towels. There is a “splash” area — it’s a portion of the walking area near one of the stages and has fountains that spray up. You will be hard pressed to keep kids out of it, especially when we will be into our 90 degree weather by that time. Have them wear their swimwear under their clothes and just let them get wet. It’s free, it cools them down (and hopefully keeps them from being irritable), and it will entertain them while you enjoy the music. In ALL the years we’ve taken our kids I ALWAYS forget to bring these things. I’m trying to save y’all my fate of previous years.
Enjoy the DFW Wildflower Festival!
